Telegram Setup (Recommended)

Telegram is the easiest channel to set up:

Step 1: Create a Bot

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
  2. Send /newbot
  3. Choose a name and username for your bot
  4. Copy the bot token

Step 2: Get Your User ID

  1. Search for @userinfobot on Telegram
  2. Send any message
  3. Copy your user ID

Step 3: Configure Clawdbot

telegram:
  botToken: "123456789:ABCdefGHIjklMNOpqrSTUvwxYZ"
  allowedUsers:
    - 123456789  # Your user ID

Step 4: Start and Test

clawdbot gateway start

Send a message to your bot — it should respond!

WhatsApp Setup

WhatsApp requires the WhatsApp Business API or a bridge like wacli. See the full WhatsApp guide for detailed instructions.

Discord Setup

  1. Go to the Discord Developer Portal
  2. Create a new application
  3. Go to Bot → Add Bot
  4. Copy the bot token
  5. Enable "Message Content Intent" under Privileged Gateway Intents

Multiple Channels

Clawdbot supports multiple channels simultaneously. Just add each channel's configuration to your config file:
